A leading healthcare provider is seeking a motivated radiographer to join their Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast service. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care and performing mammography examinations. Candidates will receive full training if needed. Positions available for varied hours.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to join the Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast service.
North Tees and Hartlepool Breast unit is recognised for providing both high level quality care to our patients and exceptional learning opportunities for all members of the team.
You will assist the Breast Services Lead, Programme Clinical Administrator, and Clinical Advanced Practitioner in the organisation and effective delivery of both the Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services.
Mammography experience is preferred but not essential. If required, the successful candidate can expect full training and support in developing the skills required to participate fully in ensuring delivery of a high-quality patient-centred service. If the candidate requires training, they will be employed at Band 5 until training is complete.
As a member of our team, you will help deliver highly skilled, patient-focused care within the Breast Imaging Service throughout County Durham, Teesside, and North Yorkshire.
The post holder will perform mammography examinations in accordance with current departmental guidelines, policies, and protocols, while providing a high level of patient care.
The post holder will be able to produce good quality diagnostic images while safely using highly complex technical mammography equipment.
Good communication is essential, as you will be expected to communicate effectively with patients, their relatives and carers, and other professionals working in the trust.

To assist the Breast Services Lead, Programme Clinical Administrator, and Clinical Advanced Practitioner in the organisation and effective delivery of both the Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services.
Act as an unsupervised practitioner demonstrating experience and professional competency. Ensure a high standard of mammographic technique, GDU personal audits, and peer review as per NHSBSP guidelines.
Participate in the QA equipment programme while following and observing Local Rules/IRMER principles.
Deliver leadership to the clinical mammography team to provide a high standard of patient care.
There are currently two posts available: 30 hours (4 days) and 22.5 hours (3 days).
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a disclosure check will be required to ensure suitability for the role.
£37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro-rata.
