Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a specialist diagnostic radiographer to join the Cardiac and Interventional Radiography team. The post centres on imaging for interventional procedures, including hybrid theatre work and mobile image intensifier services.

You will work in the interventional radiology suite and fluoroscopy room, supporting PCI, electrophysiology and vascular cases, in a busy NHS environment.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Current HCPC UK registration.
• Theatre and mobile image intensifier experience.
• NHS radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Support interventional procedures across the cardiac cath labs, including PCI, electrophysiology/devices, structural/devices and diagnostic angiography
• Work in the Hybrid Theatre alongside the Vascular team
• Provide a mobile image intensifier service for some vascular cases
• Work in the Interventional Radiology suite and new fluoroscopy room

Job description

This is a specialist diagnostic radiographer post in the Cardiac and Interventional Radiography team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The work centres on imaging for interventional procedures, including some mobile image intensifier work for vascular cases. The team uses a new Siemens IR suite and fluoroscopy room, with a hybrid theatre dedicated to vascular work. Theatre and mobile image intensifier experience, NHS radiology experience and current HCPC registration are essential.
