Qualifications

  • Broad range of general radiography experience.
  • Experience in one of the 3 modalities: CT/MRI or PETCT.
  • Competence in using a PACS/RIS system.
  • Evidence of participation in on-call/extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through CT, MRI and PETCT modalities and maintain high quality imaging.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Specialist Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. The Centre is a specialist imaging unit (MRI, CT, PET/CT) with a large research commitment which requires highly specialised imaging knowledge. Applicants will need to be proficient in at least one of the modalities - CT/MRI/PETCT. We are closely linked with the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and a large proportion of the workload is oncology related. The post includes the ability to communicate highly complex information and provide reassurance to patients as well as regular participation in research and clinical trial activities. This post requires high levels of flexibility and professional autonomy and includes an adaptable rotation through all three imaging modalities in the Centre. If selected to interview, you will be asked to prepare a short presentation (10 mins) entitled: Clinical Governance and Safety in CT or MRI or PETCT (choose one modality):The role of the Band 6 radiographer. Main duties of the job The Specialist Radiographer position includes opportunities to learn and refine a range of imaging skills rotating through the three modalities and participate in research. Line management opportunities and training will be provided. Full or part time applications are welcome. The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is a specialist oncology imaging centre made up of 4 scanners: Siemens Force Dual Source Dual Energy CT scanner, 2 x Siemens Sola MRI Scanners, Siemens Aera MRI Scanner, Siemens Force Dual Source Dual Energy CT scanner, Siemens VisionPET/CT scanner. You will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards Across the 3 modalities. The successful candidate will take part in a 7-day working shift pattern and full or part time applications are welcome. In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata., ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.
