Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals is recruiting a senior Radiology leader to oversee operational management, performance and delivery across multiple sites. You will manage radiology booking, administration and patient access services, work with clinicians and govern complex budgets while driving service improvement and digital transformation.

The role requires extensive healthcare operations experience, strong leadership and the ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the operational management, performance, quality, workforce, financial and strategic delivery of Radiology Services across the Trust.

The post holder will have line management responsibility for Radiology administrative, booking and clerical services and will work closely with the Head of Radiology, Deputy Head of Radiology, Radiology Clinical Leads, Radiology superintendents, modality leads, consultants and operational teams to manage the service, plan developments and support delivery of safe and effective care.

The post holder will have delegated accountability for designated pay and non-pay budgets, workforce and operational performance, and will exercise senior independent judgement in managing complex service pressures across multiple sites.

The post holder will deputise for the Head of Radiology when required and provide visible senior operational leadership during periods of escalation, service disruption or organisational change.

The post holder will lead designated projects and transformation programmes within Radiology, ensuring that key performance, financial, operational, quality and clinical outcomes are achieved and sustained.

The post holder will be responsible for delivery of national diagnostic standards, including DM01, cancer diagnostic pathways, RTT-related diagnostics and other local and national access requirements.
