Specialist Project Worker

Location: 11-20 Langley Close, Felixstowe, Suffolk IP11 2ND

Pay Rate: £13.95 per hour - effective 1st April

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Specialist Project Worker at our Homelessness Services Scheme at Langley Close in Felixstowe.

The role of Specialist Project Worker will include:

  1. Providing support to encourage our customers who have faced homelessness to maximise their own potential and independence.
  2. Ensuring the smooth running of the service, promoting the service effectively to others.
  3. Working closely with staff and customers to deliver a high quality, intensive support service.
  4. Managing a team of Project Workers.
  5. Recruiting, developing, and training staff within appropriate legislative or NVQ frameworks and devising effective and well-run staff rotas.
  6. Overseeing and monitoring the quality of risk tools, assessments, and personalised support plans.
  7. Liaising with staff to ensure positive outcomes, with a focus on maintaining tenancies and move on objectives.
  8. Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments to support, reduce or eliminate risks.
  9. Completing and monitoring health and safety checks within the service.

Skills and Experiences:

  1. NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards.
  2. Proven experience of working with a similar customer group is essential.
  3. Previous housing related support is desirable.
  4. Sound knowledge of housing management including rents, tenancies and health and safety.
  5. Good understanding of occupancy agreements.
  6. The ability to work on your own initiative and to react effectively under pressure.
