Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a skilled and driven Specialist, Pre-Sales Engineering (UK), to provide expert technical and design support during the pre-sales phase and to contribute to the development of compelling proposals-both of which are critical to driving sales growth in the region. Additionally, this role will offer post-sales technical and product support to ensure continued customer satisfaction.

Role

In order to grow our products and services sold in the respective geographical area(s). The Specialist, Pre- Sales Eng activity will have the focus on identifying and targeting the following:
  • Recommend, design, and quote Fire Safety solutions that meet/exceed customer needs.
  • Participate in customer visits and technical discussions where appropriate to help resolve specific technical problems, as well as proactively specify KGS Fire Safety products meeting customer requirements.
  • Liaise closely with sales team & product management to develop region-specific solutions.
  • Provide regular feedback on customers' technical requirements and complaints in relation to KGS and competitive products.
  • Advise the commercial team on the benefits of KGS products, competitive comparisons, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of product technical documentation, test reports, approvals, certification, etc.
  • Organize and conduct customer technical training jointly with the commercial team.
  • Deliver product overviews and lead pre-sales presentations to clients & consultants.
  • Provide and coordinate after-sales technical support to Business Partners & end users.
  • Provide partial telephone technical support.
  • Accepting, checking and solving support requests (2nd level support Global)

Focus on our core Fire Product, Aspiration and Smoke Detection.

Person Specification
  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience in the Fire alarm industry with demonstrated abilities in some of the key areas of the job
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to organize effectively.
  • Proven technical & design skills; enjoys multiple assignments or projects in a wide range of product applications.
  • Computer proficiency in all common business and engineering applications.
  • Fire experience, Fire detection & alarm etc.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of various software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
