Band 5/6 Podiatrist (Development Post) 2 Posts - 37 hours per week

Work base: Highland Podiatry Centre, Abban Street, Inverness

Providing Outreach clinics to Caithness Clinics - Dunbar Hospital, Thurso & Wick Medical Centre.

This exciting post is also open to recent graduates wishing to enhance their clinical skills. It may include a significant mentorship period covering advanced clinical techniques.

These include nail surgery, Post Tibial blocks, deep enucleations, verrucae needling/blunt dissection, MSK podiatry, and high-risk limb wound care management. No prior experience is necessary, but understanding of care philosophy is desirable.

Initially, the role may be at Band 5, with progression to Band 6 after a successful development period, expected to last no longer than 12 months. Experienced clinicians may enter directly at Band 6.

Requirements include a BSc in Podiatric Medicine, qualification in L.A and nail surgery, and HCPC registration. The main work base is at Abban Street Clinic, Inverness.

The role involves outreach clinics in Caithness (Thurso/Wick), about 2.5 hours from Inverness, with a pool car provided.

Candidates should demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge, understanding of clinical governance, good interpersonal and communication skills, workload prioritization, planning, organization, and hold a full, current driving license.
