This exciting post is open to recent graduates wishing to enhance their clinical skills. The role may include a mentorship period covering advanced clinical techniques, such as nail surgery, Post Tibial blocks, deep enucleations, verrucae needling/dissections, and orthotic manufacture.
No previous experience is necessary, but understanding of care philosophy is desirable. The position may start at Band 5, with potential progression to Band 6 after a development period. Experienced clinicians may apply directly at Band 6.
Requirements include a BSc in Podiatric Medicine, qualification in L.A and nail surgery, registration with the HPC, and a full, current driving license. The work base is at Portree Hospital on the Isle of Skye, approximately 2.5 hours from Inverness.
You should demonstrate sound professional and clinical knowledge, understanding of clinical governance, and excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
