Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Forth Valley Physiotherapy Neuro Rehabilitation Rotation. The rotation offers a unique training and development opportunity for Physiotherapists passionate about neuro rehabilitation. The rotation includes START (ESD for Stroke), Forth Valley Neuro Rehabilitation Team, Specialist Rehabilitation (bed-based rehab within Bellfield Centre in Stirling), and inpatient Acute Stroke Rehabilitation. Currently, the vacancy is with the Stroke Transition and Rehabilitation Team (START), established in 2021. START is a community-based MDT treating Stroke patients in their home environment, supporting early discharge from hospital and ensuring safe transition of care.

As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will assess and rehabilitate patients across Forth Valley discharged from Acute Stroke for up to 6-8 weeks. You will collaborate with inpatient Stroke service colleagues and community rehabilitation teams. We seek motivated, enthusiastic individuals who will help implement AHP ambitions within the progressive stroke pathway. The role involves providing direct patient care, possessing specialist clinical knowledge, and demonstrating advanced clinical decision-making skills. A passion for rehabilitation and improving lives of stroke patients and their families is essential. Experience in service development and quality improvement is desirable.

The ability to prioritize fluctuating workloads, flexibility, and willingness to travel across Forth Valley is required. The service is based at Falkirk Community Hospital, with coverage extending area-wide, including Forth Valley Royal Hospital and the Bellfield Centre.
