Job summary

NHS Lothian in Haddington is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist to provide a full, independent service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge for a complex patient group.

You will supervise physiotherapists, assistant practitioners and students, deputise for the team lead in meetings, and help develop training for a wide range of professionals.

Hours: 28.8 per week with weekend work; salary band 6 (£43,231 - £52,679), pro-rata for part-time.

Qualifications

• Independently provide a specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge for complex patients.
• Supervise physiotherapists, assistant practitioners and students.

Responsibilities

• Act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
• To supervise physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers and physiotherapy students.
• To deputise for the team lead in meetings related to specialist clinical area.
• To develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals and carers.
