Job description

Come and join our neuro rotation as a band 6 physiotherapist! This rotation offers experience across various clinical settings to enhance your neurological rehabilitation skills. Rotations include regional neurosciences wards, stroke, Parkinson's outpatient rehabilitation, community reablement team, and neuro rehab out-patients. The rotation also features Linden Lodge neuro rehabilitation unit, which will become part of the National Rehabilitation Centre when it opens in autumn 2025. For more details, visit the NRC website.

We seek a passionate neurological rehabilitation therapist to join our experienced, dynamic, and friendly multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have broad clinical experience at band 5 and a desire to develop further in this specialty. You should support team development and contribute to service improvement alongside senior staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team, are essential.

Experience with new technologies and supporting service innovation is desirable. Rotations are across all NUH campuses. For community rotations, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

In this role, you will provide physiotherapy for a complex caseload, working collaboratively with the MDT, patients, families, and external agencies. Responsibilities include ensuring effective service delivery, staff training, supervision, management, and engaging in service development projects. You will also support the wider AHP strategy at NUH and participate in student training.

Support and training will be provided to help you develop in this role, including peer and senior support, supervision, and various training opportunities.

A passion for patient-centred care and a commitment to working as a key MDT member are essential.

Therapies, Out Patients and Phlebotomy is part of the Specialist Clinical Services Care Group at NUH, employing over 700 staff dedicated to high-quality care.
