Specialist Physiotherapist for Acute Therapies and Trauma Orthopaedics

Role Overview

Act as a specialist clinician within the Physiotherapy Service, supporting the Acute Therapy team and Trauma Orthopaedic team at HRI. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients on the Acute Medical and Orthopaedic wards, supporting the Clinical Lead, and integrating best practices into clinical areas.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a band 6 physiotherapist with experience in elderly medicine, elective, and trauma orthopaedics. Post-training, the role involves working across 'front end' areas including the Emergency Department and Acute floors, and participating in the respiratory on-call service.

Opportunities and Development

This position offers involvement in therapy delivery, service management, staff supervision, training, and deputising for the Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will receive structured supervision, annual development plans, and relevant training tailored to their learning needs.

Location and Working Hours

The role is based at HRI, with inpatient services operating on a 7-day rota between 8 am and 6 pm. The candidate will also participate in the on-call respiratory physiotherapy service, which includes comprehensive training and support systems.
