Specialist Physiotherapist - Ely (FTC 6 months)

Salary: £35,392-£42,618 FTE (reviewed after NHS release of 2024/25 Agenda for Change)

Hours: 14 hours per week

Main Purpose

To work as a specialist within the multidisciplinary team providing physiotherapy for individuals with acquired brain injury, supporting development within the service, liaising with professionals and families, and acting as a professional role model.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Conduct neurological assessments and develop treatment plans based on current evidence and best practices.
  • Deliver effective physiotherapy interventions across the Brainkind pathways: Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well-being.
  • Work safely with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours and support multidisciplinary team goals.
  • Use relevant equipment and interventions, and record outcomes using standardized measures.
  • Manage caseload efficiently, support and supervise junior staff and students, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and risk management policies.
  • Produce detailed clinical reports and educate support workers for ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate effective discharge planning.
