An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team at the Trafford Surgical Elective Hub on a fixed term basis for 9 months.

You will be part of a dynamic, well-established multidisciplinary team, working alongside a Clinical Lead, experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants. Our team is committed to delivering a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring high-quality outcomes for elective orthopaedic patients.

This Band 6 role offers the chance to contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the education of students and junior staff, while continuing your own professional development.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide specialist assessment and management of elective orthopaedic patients across the Day Surgery Unit and Inpatient Orthopaedic Ward at the Trafford Elective Hub.
  • Supervise and support Band 5 Physiotherapists and unregistered staff, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Act as a clinical mentor for undergraduate physiotherapy students.
  • Lead and participate in service development projects, including audits and quality improvement programmes.
  • Contribute to the Trust's 7-day service, including weekend and twilight rotas.
  • Participate in the on-call respiratory rota as required.
