Job summary

HealthJobs Ltd is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Dean Neurological Centre near Gloucester, Gloucestershire. This full-time role offers a salary up to £44,000 and a supportive environment for rehabilitation of patients with complex long-term neurological conditions.

You will deliver physiotherapy services, lead in governance and evidence-based practice, and work within a multidisciplinary neuro care team.

Qualifications

  • A physiotherapy degree is required.
  • HCPC registration is mandatory.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice in physiotherapy.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and inspection processes.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist qualified staff in assessment, planning and implementation of patient rehabilitation care.
  • Deliver physiotherapy services to residents in liaison with the Head of Therapies.
  • Provide professional leadership in physiotherapy following clinical governance principles.
  • Collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary neuro care team.
  • Be responsible for assessments and treatment of highly complex neurological conditions.
  • Apply clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to develop personalised care plans.
  • Deliver high-standard clinical care and manage service delivery at the Centre.
  • Select and apply appropriate physiotherapy assessments to ensure effective treatment.
  • Participate in collecting and analysing clinical audit data and outcomes.
  • Perform clinical risk assessments and complete risk management plans.
  • Identify equipment needs for residents with complex needs.

What you will do:
  • Support and assist qualified staff in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient rehabilitation care
  • Take responsibility for delivering physiotherapy services to residents in liaison with the Head of Therapies
  • Provide professional leadership in all aspects of physiotherapy, following clinical governance principles and adhering to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy's code of professional conduct
  • Collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary neuro care team
  • Be responsible and accountable for assessments and treatment of highly complex neurological conditions
  • Implement and evaluate individual treatment and rehabilitation plans, collaborating with relevant agencies as appropriate
  • Apply effective clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to develop personalised care plans
  • Deliver high-standard clinical care while maintaining service delivery at the Centre by prioritising effectively and efficiently based on clinical judgement
  • Select and apply both standardised and non-standardised physiotherapy assessments to ensure effective treatment
  • Participate in collecting and analysing clinical audit data and utilising relevant outcome measures
  • Perform clinical risk assessment and complete risk management plans
  • Identify and source specialist equipment for residents with complex physical needs necessitating non-standard items
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice in physiotherapy
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and inspection processes
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field
