Role Overview

We are seeking a Specialist Pharmacy Technician to manage Dispensary Services, oversee stock management including controlled drugs, and contribute to quality improvement projects. You will lead and support the pharmacy team, ensuring efficient dispensing and compliance with standards.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage medicines management services and stock control, including controlled drugs.
  2. Ensure optimal deployment of technical staff according to demand.
  3. Investigate stock discrepancies and work with ward teams to supply medicines timely.
  4. Manage pharmacy systems and automation to support dispensing processes.
Person Specification

Qualifications: BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent, GPhC registration, Accredited Checking Technician, Leadership qualification.

Experience: Significant hospital pharmacy experience, team management, dispensary operations.

Skills: Effective communication, compliance with GPhC standards, knowledge of pharmacy services and workflows.
