If you are a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking for a new rewarding and challenging role, come and join our CQC rated 'Outstanding' Trust. We currently have an opportunity for a Specialist Pharmacy Technician (Dispensary) to join our team. You will deliver a high quality, safe and effective pharmacy service to our in-patient wards (community health and mental health services) and our out-patient services.
We are a small friendly team, based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading where our dispensary is located.
Our working hours are currently 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday with you also working a late shift in the dispensary on a rota basis, which means no nights or weekends. We offer free parking on site.
Leadership experience required to manage the dispensary and the team
Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services
Be a key player in developing and extending the role of our Pharmacy Technicians and support staff.
Be responsible for the provision of a high-quality patient focused dispensary service
Ensure KPIs are fit for purpose, report on them and make recommendations/improvements to the indicators
Review skill mix and methods of working in the dispensary
Completing accuracy checking session(s)
Support Pharmacy Technicians in further training.
Work with the clozapine clinic team to ensure medicines are ready for the Trust wide clinics.
Develop skills and knowledge as part of a commitment to CPD and Clinical Supervision
Providing support to Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and support workers while they undertake their learning.
