Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to enhance clinical pharmacy services across wards, with a strong focus on education, training, and antimicrobial stewardship. The role includes supporting training programmes and contributing to audit and research within the Trust.

The post offers opportunities to develop leadership in multidisciplinary teams across Emergency and Specialist Medicine and MSSUGGs, with potential evening/on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Post-graduate certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice.
Working towards a Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy Practice.

Responsibilities

Provide daily clinical pharmacy services to wards and clinics.
Prescribe and review medications per evidence-based practice and protocols.
Lead in audit, research, and dissemination of results.
