The post holder will support supervision and development of pharmacists and technicians, provide non‑medical prescribing, and contribute to medicines management and clinical service development at the trust.

The post-holder will play a key role in the management of patients with a range of complex infections, including active involvement in prescribing and optimising antimicrobial therapy for this patient group. The role will also support the supervision and development of pharmacists and technicians within the pharmacy service, ensuring the provision of a high-quality, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking clinical pharmacist, ideally with demonstrable experience in antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases or anti-infective medicines, who will act as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will undertake specialist patient review, contribute to and attend multidisciplinary meetings, and work closely with consultants, specialist nurses, microbiologists and infection specialists to optimise antimicrobial use and support complex clinical decision-making.
The post-holder will be supported by the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Antimicrobial Stewardship and will be an experienced pharmacist with the ability to provide clinical leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of a proactive, patient-centred specialist pharmacy service across AMS.

Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Antimicrobial Stewardship in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to Antimicrobials for other departmental staff.
