The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Specialist Pharmacist to oversee aseptic preparation and ensure adherence to statutory and quality standards. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care while upholding safety protocols. The candidate will coordinate with a team of pharmacists and technicians to maintain compliance and quality assurance in service delivery.
Specialist pharmacist to supervise and support aseptic preparation and dispensing of medicines under Section 10 exemption from the Medicines Act.
Supports the Accountable Pharmacist and Deputy Accountable Pharmacist to ensure that the aseptic preparation of medicines within Section 10 units complies with Good Manufacturing Practice and Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services (QAAPS).
Acts as the Specialist Pharmacist for the Section 10 aseptic preparation units at UHDB, overseeing aseptic preparation and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
Provides support to the technical services team regarding technical aspects of aseptic preparation services. Coordinates with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Support Staff, and the Pharmacy Quality Assurance / Control Team in other sections.
