Dedicated Autism Personal Assistant required for a rewarding and challenging role.
Would you like to join a small team of practitioners and family carers to provide genuine person-centred support to a man with autism, mild learning difficulties, and complex needs?
You will provide social & emotional support while he explores the countryside around Bristol and the surrounding counties. Your role includes helping him develop confidence within his community, supporting his wellbeing, and increasing his independence through structured activities at home.
You will provide outstanding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and create an environment that reduces his anxiety and manages his behaviour, enabling him to thrive and achieve his life goals.
There are opportunities to develop your understanding of autism and attain professional qualifications in PBS while working with us. Progression to senior or team leader roles is possible as you gain expertise.
The role requires a full driving license and offers up to 30 hours per week, primarily during weekdays, with occasional support for a 3-4 night holiday annually within the UK.
Salary starts at £14.50 per hour, based on a 37.5-hour week, with a deadline for applications at noon on 2nd September. Interested applicants should contact Sue/Tania for more details and an application form.
