This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative, self motivated, compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Specialist Palliative Care Occupational Therapy Service. With the support of the wider Occupational Therapy and Multi disciplinary team, you will develop your knowledge and skills in a highly specialist and rewarding setting. Situated just outside of Cardiff with excellent road links, you will be based in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to palliative care patients within the Health Board. With a wealth of learning and development opportunities such as a Band 6 Development Framework, a training passport tailored to your learning needs and peer support you will be able to consolidate and enhance your specialist Occupational Therapy and leadership and management skills. As part of a close MDT, you will work together with your patients and their families to identify meaningful goals, provide assessments, identify appropriate interventions and enable them to remain in their home. The post holder will carry an independent caseload of patients and deliver occupational therapy intervention to a high standard with the ethos of providing evidence based, high quality interventions. The successful candidate will work closely with the MDT, Principal OT, Discharge Liaison Team and Local Authorities to ensure effective cross boundary and agency working
