Job description


There are several exciting opportunities to work as a Specialist Occupational Therapist within Mental Health Care Division, and Secure Division of Mersey Care, across Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens & Knowsley, and Halton and Warrington. We are looking for dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our enthusiastic, innovative, and expanding teams seeking to develop their clinical experience and knowledge, and to strengthen their leadership and managerial skills.

Posts are available across the following wards; Newton, Dee, Windsor, Fern Wards

The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality assessment, delivering treatment interventions plans, and evaluating outcomes for individuals with complex needs.

Please note that if the initial work base / location will be on our Windsor Housesite that there will be an expectation on the re-siting of the services to Mossley Hill that the staff base / location will change at that time.



To utilise and develop specialist knowledge providing; professional, up to date interventions within a designated Occupational Therapy Services and to assist in the organisational development, co-ordination, and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service in conjunction with the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, Professional Lead for Occupational Therapy and relevant Team/Service Manager.

The post holder will contribute to an environment that works with local services to provide evidence-based assessment and delivery of care, using the Model of Human Occupation, and within the context of the effective patient journey. They will continue with their own professional development and assist with that of other Occupational Therapy staff. They will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure that the needs of their clients are met.
