Job Description

Overview: This is a Long Term Temporary post starting ASAP, focused on safeguarding, rehabilitation, and social independence for vulnerable adults, including those experiencing rough sleeping.

  1. Safeguarding: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, recognizing risk indicators and applying outcome-focused, person-centered safeguarding practices.
  2. Assessment & Support: Conduct holistic assessments, recommend appropriate assistance, and support grant applications. Develop rehabilitation programs to enhance independence, respecting individual expertise and working collaboratively with multi-agency teams.
  3. Performance Management: Manage and supervise Occupational Therapists, Assistants, and Students. Coordinate services, support families, oversee interventions, and contribute to practice development and team effectiveness.
  4. Legal & Statutory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and others, ensuring compliance and safeguarding principles.

Additional Details: Maintain accurate records, monitor equipment provision, support training, and lead practice improvements. Demonstrate leadership through reflective practice and policy development.

Requirements: Enhanced DBS/Update Service, references for the last 5 years. Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding principles.
