Main duties of the jobAn excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Therapies team here at HMP Berwyn, a category C prison for adult men with a range of varied health needs. This is a great opportunity to embed change and embed a shared culture with HMP and the probation service.
We are looking for a clinically skilled Occupational Therapist who is able to work across a range of complex clinical issues and able to articulate the role of Occupational Therapy in a prison setting. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, significant post graduate experience which includes demonstrable experience in a related clinical field as well as proven post-graduate clinical and service development competencies. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to problem solve multiple issues within a fast-paced custodial context.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
