NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the Hand Hub service. This role involves assessing and treating patients with hand injuries, supervision of staff, and participation in service development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in hand therapy and a relevant occupational therapy qualification.

We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Hand Hub service in South Sector on a permanent basis.
Applicants must have a Diploma/Degree in occupational therapy and be registered with HCPC.
This role involves assessing and treating patients with hand injuries and orthopedic surgeries in an outpatient setting to promote independence. Responsibilities include upper limb assessments, therapy, exercises, splinting, and ongoing hand therapy. The role also involves screening new referrals, onward referrals, and signposting to community services. You may be responsible for supervising rotational staff, support workers, and students, including induction, training, and daily management. You will lead service development and change initiatives and are encouraged to engage in CPD, audit, and research.
Significant postgraduate experience and previous clinical experience in hand therapy are essential.
