Job summary

Hollybank Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its therapy team in Mirfield. The role focuses on delivering specialist OT assessments and interventions for adults with complex disabilities, with some work for children across services.

You will collaborate with families, carers and health professionals to promote independence and wellbeing. HCPC registered and with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, you will develop treatment plans and provide training to colleagues

Qualifications

• Must hold an Occupational Therapy degree and HCPC registration.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in health or social care.
• Experience with complex disabilities, learning disabilities, or PMLD is preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills.
• Passion for improving outcomes for people with complex needs.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for adults with complex needs.
• Recommend and support specialist equipment, adaptations and assistive technology.
• Develop person-centred treatment plans to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with families, carers, other teams, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Provide advice, training and education to colleagues and carers.
• Support individuals with sensory processing needs and challenging behaviours.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments, meetings and service improvements.
