Overview

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department. This role will provide specialist support to our Oncology & Haematology patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
• Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols based on national guidelines and best practice.
• Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
• Act as a key contact for patients, ensuring consistent, coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.
• Signpost to additional services and resources to support holistic care.

Salary and hours

Salary: Up to £46,000.00 per year FTE (depending on level of experience, training and qualification). This is a part-time role for 20 hours per week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
