A healthcare facility is hiring a Band 6 Nutritional Nurse Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term role in Barnstaple. The specialist will deliver nutritional care across inpatient and outpatient settings, manage patients on enteral and parenteral nutrition, and contribute to service improvements. Band 6 Nutritional Nurse Specialist fixed-term (6 months) at North Devon District Hospital, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The role delivers expert nutritional care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including assessing and managing patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition, supporting safe discharge planning, and working with the multidisciplinary team to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
Essential: Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in acute care; expertise in managing enteral feeding tubes; strong communication and organisational skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a commitment to high-quality patient care and service improvement.
Working Pattern: 3 days per week, exact days to be agreed on appointment.
