Central London Community Health NHS Trust (CLCH) is seeking to recruit a Specialist Nurse for Looked after children in Merton. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dynamic practitioner to join our children's 0-19 team.
We are looking for a practitioner with experience of working with vulnerable and complex children and young people. The individual will be able to work in a collaborative manner and be able to liaise professionally with other agencies working with Looked after children and young people i.e. social care, health partners and foster carers.
The post holder will be supported to influence the Looked after children's nursing agenda in Merton. The ability to work independently is essential and the post holder will be required to travel to other boroughs across the country to support looked after children who are the responsibility of Merton Local Authority and placed in other boroughs. You will be a highly motivated individual who confidently supports and delivers a responsive and inclusive Looked after children's nursing service.
This individual will be joining a professional team who is embedded within the 0-19 children's service in Merton. The role will work alongside health visitors, school nurses, children's therapy and local health partners in the community and the acute sectors.
