Job summary

Circle Health Group's Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Specialist Nurse to join the Oncology team. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £60,000 per year depending on experience.

You will deliver expert cancer care across settings, undertake specialist assessments, support treatments including systemic therapies, and provide emotional support to patients and families while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in Oncology and/or Haematology nursing.
• Specialist knowledge in cancer care pathways and symptom management.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and ongoing professional development.
• Experience as Specialist Nurse or CNS or equivalent.
• SACT qualification or experience supporting systemic anti-cancer therapy services.
• Experience in private healthcare or acute hospital oncology services.
• Experience contributing to service development, audit or research activities.

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients with cancer across outpatient, inpatient, day-case and ambulatory settings.
• Undertake specialist assessments, contributing to holistic care planning, symptom management and ongoing review.
• Act as a clinical expert in cancer pathways, supporting diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and survivorship care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in Oncology and/or Haematology nursing.
• Evidence of specialist knowledge in cancer care pathways and symptom management.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
