Job description

Adult Community Mental Health Services in Hull are changing. We have formed a locality based team incorporating Primary and Secondary Mental Health Care staff to give us a more seamless approach to care delivery.

We are looking for Band 6 specialist Nurse's to join our team.

These roles sit within the secondary care part of the locality team and the post-holders will provide specialist mental health interventions to people with complex mental health presentations.

We are moving towards a trauma informed model of care delivery so an understanding of this approach is essential for all applicants.

You will work alongside colleagues from Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Psychology and so will benefit from an extensive breadth of professional expertise.

Main duties of the job

The applicant will be expected to have specialist nursing knowledge of working with adults with complex mental health issues.

Experience in assessing and managing clinical risk is a key feature of the role and so applicants will need to demonstrate understanding and experience in this area.

The post holder will manage a caseload of people with complex mental health presentations and will need to be able to prioritise their time effectively and maintain a degree of flexibility around their time management.

You will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills , providing supervision to healthcare staff . You will lead and participate in the development of staff through appraisal and clinical supervision.
