The role is based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and involves working alongside the consultant and laboratory team. Responsibilities include a full range of clinical activities such as cutup, reporting, and MDT participation.

This position does not require on-call duties.

Main duties of the job

• Performing cutup, reporting, and clinical liaison regarding pathology specimens (histology and non-gynae cytology) and participating in MDT meetings.

• Meeting clinical and quality targets set both nationally and locally in coordination with clinical teams and commissioners.
