Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist (Adult Social Care)

Location: Liverpool, hybrid working

Rate of pay: £30 - £39.45 per hour

Contract: Full-time locum contract

Our Local Authority client is recruiting a locum Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist for their Adult Social Care Service in Liverpool.

Key responsibilities:

• Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet assessed needs.
• Complete strength-based assessments for people with disabilities within the Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
• Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers how to use equipment and/or adaptations provided.
• Maintain accurate electronic social care records, manage a diverse caseload, and action assessment outcomes within agreed service standards.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience in moving and handling.
• Experience working within a community setting with knowledge of equipment, minor, and major adaptations.
