Job Purpose:

This role reports to the Formulation Development Manager and involves supporting Clinical Manufacturing, developing new formulations, and assisting in the Formulation Laboratory. Candidates should have a pharmaceutical background with experience in cGMP, FDA, and MHRA regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design formulations and manufacturing processes for encapsulated drug products
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams
• Plan, conduct, and report experiments to meet project timelines
• Train and support less experienced team members
• Analyze data and prepare clear reports with conclusions and recommendations
• Prepare customer protocols and project reports to high standards
• Manufacture technical and clinical batches to GMP standards
• Support process development and transfer formulations for commercial manufacturing
• Assist manufacturing with troubleshooting and process optimization

Person Profile:

Required:

• BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Chemistry
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Experience with oral formulations, preferably soft gels or liquids
• Proven success in R&D projects from concept to completion
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently

Desired:

• Over 2 years of technical experience in formulation and drug delivery
• Experience with lipid-based formulations and bioavailability enhancement
• Knowledge of cGMP/GLP environments

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Excellent communication skills for face-to-face and telephone interactions
• Leadership and mentoring abilities

Remuneration & Benefits:

Basic Salary: DOE, plus private medical insurance, health cash plan, pension scheme, life insurance, income protection, and employee assistance program.
