The Specialist Community Forensic Team has been commissioned to work with key stakeholders and partner agencies to enhance community provision for people who are autistic or who have a learning disability.
The Specialist Community Forensic Team is seeking a Band 6 nurse to join the existing team. This is a 12-month position to cover maternity leave. We welcome applications from enthusiastic and confident individuals committed to the wellbeing of service users and delivering high-quality services. The team aims to enhance the safety, experience, and wellbeing of service users in the community.
The team is multidisciplinary, including Nursing, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Support Workers, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists. The role involves working across Cheshire and Merseyside, liaising with partner agencies in health, social care, and criminal justice to develop proactive risk mitigation and support strategies.
The Specialist Forensic Nurse will provide consultation, assessment, and intervention to deliver effective, person-centred clinical services for autistic individuals and those with learning disabilities who have complex needs related to offending or risk of offending.
The working hours are rostered over a 7-day week, between 0800 hrs and 2000 hrs.

Responsibilities include managing a clinical caseload of individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism at risk of offending or who have offended, receiving regular clinical supervision, and contributing to professional development and service delivery.
