The role is a Self Employed Fire Risk Assessor operating throughout the UK

The ability to assess and produce a Fire Risk Assessment for Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Distribution Centres, both small operations and large scale sites and complex buildings.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing your monthly availability for the proposed work.
• Planning and managing the work within the agreed timescales.
• Keeping your Line Manager or Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
• Allowing Shadow and Witness Audits from clients or senior team members.
• Maintaining Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and undertaking additional training when onboarding new clients.
• Maintaining high IT skills and providing your own laptop or tablet for work.

This is a self-employed contractor position, not employed employment.

  • Proven experience in completing Fire Risk Assessments in various properties, including complex buildings.
  • Minimum years of experience and a recognized professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association, or NEBOSH.
  • Membership in the Institute of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors or a similar industry scheme.
