Job description

Specialist Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics Special interest: Adult Foot and Ankle Surgery Anticipated Start Date: February 2026 for a period of 6 months Based atYsbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach, Wales This is a new post to give post-CCT level experience in adult F&A surgery with an elective commitment at the Foot and Ankle Unit at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work as part of the Orthopaedic team Aneurin Bevan University Health Board to assist with the provision of a comprehensive trauma and orthopaedic service to a catchment population of over 550,000.

The Directorate of Trauma and Orthopaedics sits within the Division of Surgery of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and is committed to developing a modern, evidence based, multi-disciplinary focused service for the residents of Gwent. The post provides an excellent opportunity to join an established team committed to improving services within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
