Job summary

A leading construction company in Uxbridge is seeking a Specialist Equipment Technician. You will be responsible for inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining a variety of specialist equipment. The ideal candidate should have an NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds qualification and strong troubleshooting skills. Specialist Equipment Technician

We’re looking for a Specialist Equipment Calibration Technician to join our Plant Team. This vital role ensures our specialist equipment is maintained to the highest standards, keeping operations running smoothly and safely.

Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in…

  • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain a range of specialist equipment, including: CAT & Gennys (Cable Avoidance Tools), Butt Fusion Equipment, Gas Monitors, Harnesses
  • Conduct routine servicing and minor repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and certifications.
  • Work closely with the plant hire team to ensure equipment is always fit for use.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting when needed.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have a strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to their work. You should have a keen eye for spotting potential issues and be confident in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems as they arise.

An NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds qualification is ideally required as is basic electronic experience. An understanding of plant hire operations would also be an advantage, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with a proactive mindset who enjoys working as part of a team.

Good communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with various teams to ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for use.

A full UK clean driving licence is essential.
