Specialist Eating Disorder Daycare Nurse

We are seeking a dynamic Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Eating Disorders Day Care Service. This is a substantive post (1.0 wte / 37.5 hours) and will be based at our main service hub at Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford.

The post holder will be joining well-established outpatient and day care facilities for working age adults with moderate to severe eating disorders.

The successful applicant will become an integral member of the Adult Eating Disorders Day Care team and will provide specialist intensive treatment to adults (18 years +) with moderate to severe eating disorders and co-existing mental health needs.

Salary

£40,617 to £48,778 a year, including 5% Fringe HCAS, per annum, pro rata where applicable.

Qualifications
  • To have an NMC Registration as an RMN
Experience
  • 18 months post-qualification experience working in a patient-facing role within a mental health setting
  • While experience of working with people with eating disorders is desirable, we are primarily seeking someone with a keen interest in working in the field and a willingness to develop specialist knowledge of eating disorders and their treatment.
  • Experience of supporting students on placement
  • Experience of providing supervision
  • Experience of meal support
