Position: 1-2-1 Home Tuition Tutor for Year 9 Pupil (Autism & ADHD)

Hours: 15 hours per week

Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced tutor to provide tailored one-on-one home tuition to a Year 9 pupil who has autism and ADHD. The pupil is currently awaiting placement in a specialist provision, and this role is crucial in supporting their learning and development during this transitional period.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized educational support aligned with the pupil’s needs and abilities
  • Use engaging and adaptive teaching strategies suitable for neurodiverse learners
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and relevant professionals to ensure consistency and progress
  • Monitor and record the pupil’s progress and adapt approaches as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism and ADHD
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
  • Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN support, or related fields preferred
