Overview

We are looking to recruit a full-time doctor to take up a Specialist role under 2021 contract terms in Ophthalmology. The main base is Chesterfield Royal, a busy and friendly district general hospital, where you will work as part of our well established ophthalmic team. The department has developed good links and works collaboratively with local tertiary trusts in the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• This is a senior appointment for an individual possessing substantial experience in the ophthalmic field, and the successful candidate will develop into a leadership role, taking responsibility for middle tier medical staff in addition to taking an active part in the operational management of the department and the development of expanding services.
• Provide good general ophthalmic skills with a willingness to develop sub-speciality skills; opportunities to develop a nascent sub-specialty interest within the role.
• Training and support for those looking to achieve CESR accreditation is available.
