Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, part time position of 33.4 hours.

The shift pattern for this position is 5/7.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dietetic Rehabilitation Team which provides an acute city-wide service to Stroke and Older Adult Rehabilitation, Regional Neurosciences, Trauma, and National Spinal Injuries Unit. This post will provide input to Acute Stroke and Older Adults inpatients in conjunction with colleagues and is supported by dietetic support workers.

Working within these patient groups allows the practitioner to influence the patient's progress and outcomes; from the acute phase of injury to the rehabilitation phase, as part of the MDT, which is extremely satisfying. Participation in service development, including quality improvement projects, is actively encouraged.

It is essential that you are educated to a B.Sc. in Dietetics and registered with HCPC. Post-graduate clinical experience working in both acute and rehabilitation environments as part of a clinical team is desirable. Candidates with equivalent transferred skills will also be considered. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.

Interviews will be on Tuesday 24th June 2025, with a 10-minute presentation;

How will you embed and progress Nutrition as a cornerstone of Rehabilitation in the unit and multi-disciplinary teams.
