An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist dietitian to join the Northants Eating Disorder Service (NEDS) at the NHS. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients with eating disorders, promoting effective healthcare, and engaging in professional development within a vibrant multidisciplinary team. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and demonstrate considerable experience in clinical dietetics and working with eating disorders.
Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist dietitian with experience and passion to work with eating disorders, to join the large and expanding Northants Eating Disorder Service (NEDS). NEDS is a passionate and energetic countywide psychology-led service. The team (over 26 WTE) currently comprises a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical & Counselling Psychologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists (RMN), Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Specialist Dietitians, Occupational Therapist, Support Workers (including Peer Support Workers), Arts Therapists, and Assistant Psychologists.
NEDS is a well-established service, evolving over the past 30 years and pioneering community-based approaches to treatment and support. We offer evidence-based treatment for the full spectrum of eating disorders: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED. Our services range from outpatient individual and group treatments for mild to moderate cases of Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder to intervention and case management for severe Anorexia Nervosa. Clinicians work with individuals in the community and coordinate referrals to Out of Area inpatient admissions to Specialist Eating Disorder Units (SEDU) when needed.
