Specialist Dietitian

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and committed Dietitian to join our friendly and proactive department.

We have an opportunity to join our Team as a Gastro Band 6 Dietitian, and provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service across our hospital sites. This position is part of an expanding team with the opportunity to help shape the future of the service.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist dietetic support to patients within the acute setting, working closely with the MDT providing specialist advice.

To make assessments using a variety of sources of information and to provide results of assessment in verbal and written formats.

To maintain a holistic approach to patient care and involving relatives, carers and appropriate care agencies whenever possible in the treatment plans and programmes

To be an integral member of the dietetic team working to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients as a key determinant of recovery and outcome.

Participation in training and education, including supporting students and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners.
