A leading healthcare provider in Camden Town is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian to join their Nutrition and Dietetic team. The post holder will provide dietetic support to inpatient paediatric wards and assist in training initiatives for dietetic professionals. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UCLH Nutrition and Dietetic team as a Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian. The successful post holder will work as part of a specialist paediatric multidisciplinary team, and form part of a group of specialist AHPs including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Working alongside the paediatric dietetic team, you will collaborate to deliver exceptional care for our patients. Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. The post holder will form part of a large Nutrition & Dietetic Team spanning University College London Hospital, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Charles Dent Unit and Westmoreland Street. As part of a progressive, innovative, and nurturing department, we are committed to fostering professional growth and development. Additionally, you will actively contribute to student training initiatives, helping to shape the next generation of dietetic professionals.
Main duties of the job include providing dietetic support to inpatient paediatric wards which include enteral feeding and allergy patients, TRACCS (Treatment and Rehabilitation of Adolescents and Children with Complex Conditions Service), and two outpatient clinics each week: paediatric allergy and paediatric general clinics. Provision of assessment, management and education for paediatric patients requiring specialist dietetic and nutrition intervention by using evidence-based practice and conforming to best practice guidelines. Assisting in provision of education and training to dietitians, dietetic assistants, student dietitians and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) in nutrition and dietetic specialties to facilitate continuous learning and development.
