Job summary

Parkside School, part of Wellspring Academy Trust, is recruiting a Specialist Curriculum Leader to shape and lead its Specialist Curriculum provisions. This role sits on the Extended Leadership Team and involves line managing staff, overseeing off-site provisions and serving as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

You will develop personalised curriculum pathways, work with KS teams and SENCO to re-engage students and improve wellbeing in a positive learning environment. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C/4+
• Operational knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding requirements
• Proven leadership experience in education settings
• Strong communication and data-analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Shape, deliver and coordinate the Specialist Curriculum provisions and spaces.
• Plan, deliver and track personalised curriculum pathways for identified students.
• Lead re-integration of students back into mainstream lessons from external provisions.
• Line manage teaching and support staff within the department.
• Collaborate with SLT, SENCO, pastoral teams and external agencies to ensure wraparound care.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead as part of Safeguarding Team and coach a small group of students.
