Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Main Area Specialist Radiographer (Band 6) on a 12-month fixed term contract at North Tyneside General Hospital, North Shields. Part-time, 31.5 hours per week with flexible working and participation in the department rota.

Salary £39,959 - £48,117 per annum, with development opportunities across CT and general radiography, and a focus on staff wellbeing and flexible working arrangements within an outstanding NHS trust.

Qualifications

• BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
• State Registration (HPC) is required.
• Specialist post-registration qualification in a imaging modality (e.g. CT, mammography).

Responsibilities

• To participate in roster pattern, weekend working, out of hours and on calls.
• The job role requires staff to work between CT and the general x-ray department.
• Mentor students and assistant practitioners; a mentor programme is available.
• Provide service cover across North Tyneside General Hospital and other sites as needed.
