The Post:
The Board has secured funding for a test of change to assess the viability of on island provision of MRI services. The post will be to support the MRI Lead Radiographer in delivering and developing the MRI service, for the community here in Orkney.

The post holder will also be part of the team delivering CT and General imaging in the Radiology department, with involvement in the delivery of the out of hours service.

The Candidate:
We are looking for a Radiographer with experience in general imaging, CT and MRI. We are a small team delivering a wide range of services on island, making this an exciting opportunity.

Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration:
This post will be based at The Balfour

The successful candidate will work: 37 hours per week

This post is on a Fixed-term Basis for 12 months due to funding arrangements

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.

The salary for this post is on a Band 6 £39,912 - £48,635 and if residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,587 pro rata per year, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
