Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (HV)

The Rotherham 0-19 Children's Public Health Nursing Service is looking to recruit dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurses, Health Visitors with initiative and drive to deliver high-quality public health nursing, promote healthy lifestyles, and improve health inequalities among children, young people, and their families in Rotherham.

You should demonstrate a commitment to collaborative working with a focus on the child, be dedicated to achieving positive health outcomes for children and families in Rotherham, and have a keen interest in developing services. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a willingness to facilitate and support change in service delivery. The ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team is required. We offer flexible and agile working options.

An in-depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children's services is essential. The successful candidate will work across the 0-19 service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality services to a caseload of babies, children, young people, and their families, using research-based evidence to inform practice and adhere to professional standards.

Main duties of the job
  1. To provide a consistent, effective, accessible, and appropriate 0-19 Service for children, young people, and their families.
  2. To work in partnership with agencies and families.
  3. To signpost to partner agencies as required.
  4. To lead the delivery of Public Health, Universal, Specialist, and Targeted interventions across the 0-19 years age range for a defined population, in line with national and local guidelines to address public health priorities.
  5. To work proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.
  6. To work with children, young people, and families within the home environment, schools, or other identified community settings.

Applicants must be able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. Adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro rata.
